Ractive Intake

I am having trouble finding the Ractive Intake that everyone has on their Protege 5's. I want this intake but cannot find it online anywhere. I went to Toucan's website and they do not even show one for the P5 or Protege. Could someone who has this intake please point me to where they got it and if possible a part number. I saw something on eBay but it didn't look the same. Thanks in advance and please do not flame me on this, I tried the search feature and look and everything I could think of. A quick link to something from someone would be great!!

Where do you live buddy? If you're in Canada you can pick it up at several Mazda dealer's parts department. They usually have it for around $140CAN. Getting them to install it for you will set you back $100 more.

I live in Illinois, does anyone have a part number for a Mazda Dealer so I can give it to my dealer and see if they can get it for me.

One of our sponsors here in Vancouver sells the kit for $120 including install. I'm not sure if he can ship, but you can try contacting him: http://www.mpsport.net/sponsors.html (Cartunes, just email the addy listed there)

I had read in a past post about water getting in thru aftermarket air intakes.

Are there any issues concerning Ractive intakes and this problem?

Does anyone have a under the hood pic of one on the car? I'm curious as to how they look.

Here it is on my car

Hopefully these links will work. The intake was worth every penny by the way. I paid about $50 plus shipping. If you buy any mod, this should be the first because it is cheap and has very decent results.

No offense, but I just checked out that site and the prices were ridiculous. You can get almost everything at either half or near half the price on ebay. Just my two cents.

this is true and yes I shop Ebay occasionaly and sometimes you don't get what you need or wanted to begin with. If you add in the shipping on that item then your looking at the same price

If anyone wants one from LA I go there all the time but I dont think this company will sell at that price at the store or shop

Better let you know that this is from the Ebay site listed above and not anything of my information nore am I associated with this vendor. I have only cutted and pasted so now I must associate the real user of whose documents I stole, thanks Psuedo for the advice on infringement and plagerism.

Go to this thread to see my install. I got mine from my Mazda dealer and ery happy with it. Also, I had the pipes powder coated since I did not like the aluminum colour.

You could also just order it from here. That's where I got mine (the Canadian division though in my case).

dhchin, to post the pics you must delete the .orig.jpg from the end of the url so that it only says .jpg at the end.
