and about your question no its not worth it, you can find cheap ones on ebay for less then the cost of a full rebuild.

that clanking is probably metal against metal inside your block, matter of fact you probably spun a bearing...if you know enough about doing the work, and have some decent tools, replacing that motor with the same motor shouldnt take much more than $400...you wont find much in appearance mods for less than that anyways...maybe a wing, or some lights, but rims and body kits cost more than that....Run good first, look good second

thats pretty much what were saying yes. fortunally the motor is pretty easy to pull out, its a fairly simple swap.

i know if i turbo'd the car, i would have to get the right equipment for my motor to handle the pressured air. almost like putting in nitrous or supercharger. sooooooo then where would i find one to fit the engine

the stock 1.6 litre will handle boost fine, i have 95k on my boosted motor, and it is strong as ****, i wouldent worry bout beefing up the motor for a turbo, but they dont make a kit per-say for the 1.6 litre, i had to piece mine all together, and custom install it, so its alot of work.

has anyone suggested that everyone who joined this club drive their pride and joy to a certain city, state, to meet on a closed street or circut, race, share tips tricks modifications. kinda like (in chicago) hot import nights
