rear door power lock motor
hi I have a 2002 mazda protege ES sedan.
my passenger side rear door's power lock motor/solenoid is on the fritz. when i lock/unlock with the switch it just makes a loud buzzing noise and nothing happens.
i took the door panel off (wow that was hard) and i saw that its installed in the door kind of behind the exterior door handle off to the side. its hard to get to but i saw it. i didnt see anything out of order.
however it looks like it needs replacement. besides a junk yard are there any recommendations on where to get a new/used one?
finally, once i have the part........any clue on the change out or installation process? it looks confusing. thanks

check out the mirror servers for the protege 5 work manual (protege5.ugly.net is down)
i've found it very helpful when working on my protege. as far as part, if you can find what you're looking for at a dealer with a searchable database like www.mazda-parts-dealer.com although you will end up paying dealer prices. couldnt recommend another online retailer because i've not tried, you may be able to find a cheaper alternative at NAPA or something.
