The trunk lids on the sedans have a housing above the license plate that holds the license plate lights. This piece is also where keyhole for the trunk release is.

On my '99 sedan this piece is the same color as the body.

On newer sedans this piece is chrome instead.

However, the latest pictures on the Mazda site show the protege with body colored pieces again.

Anyway, what I want to know is this: Can I swap the body colored piece for the chrome one? Does anyone have part numbers?

 

Sup Toru. This was an issue that was discussed last month. I think it was in the interior/exterior section or this one. Just try doing a search if you haven't yet. I think some in Canada traded with someone from the US or just painted it.
