Replacement Spark Plugs for a 2001 protege
Just wondering what type, or brand of spark plugs would be the best since Im prloly gona change them soon since I reached the 48k plug change limit in the manual (yes Im being **** about sticking to the manual). I know I can get them from the dealer but wanted to know IF there is a difference in brands as to longevity or performance.
Would changing the wires on the plugs also help or just the plugs themselves???
2001 1.6L Protege.

Get the stock NGKs and buy them at Autozone or someplace similar, not the dealer.
Any kind of "performance" plugs are a complete waste of money.
As for the wires, if they are in good shape no need to replace them.

If not, parts stores should definitely have the info.
They should be @ ten bucks or so for all four.
