Replacing door on protege 5

Well I know I haven't posted in a really freaking long time, probably because I have been without my mazda for a really long time, compliments of a very old chinese lady in a vw bug that was just too cool to stop at a stop sign. anyways, to the matter at hand... so I have a very odd dent in my drivers door from me being an idiot and forgetting to close my door when i backed out of a garage, which a few body shops estimated to be 900 bucks to fix... I told them to go screw themselves, I could buy a whole door on car-parts.com for 350-500, which is what I am doing... has anyone replaced a door on the protege 5 that could give me any tips. i'm pretty sure I can put the door on, the thing I don't know about is changing the lock so my key will work. Has anyone done this yet? any help would be appreciated...

paint it, and spend 900 on lambo doors, it might look dinged up but opening the door will still look sick

lambo doors on a 4 door, thats kinda wack. but what ever rocks your world. As for the door lock, pretty much bolt on from the other door. and your going to have to transfer the window set up and wiring, pretty much all the hardware from the old on. It very simple. Make sure to have someone help you hold the door to line up the bolts. after you get it in, you will have to make a few adjustment so that it aligns right.

if you were gonna do it, you'd haveto get your panel off, get your speakers and wiring out n'sh**, then do the same for the new door and put yours on...
