Sedan or P5

i tried running a search but couldn't find one, maybe i just had the wrong word choice.

anyway, so im looking at getting an '03 protege, or P5.

i like em both alot, and i couldnt really tell you which one i like better.

the sedan is a bit smaller, a bit cheaper, a bit quicker, and handles a bit better

but the P5 looks a bit better, handles quit well on its own, and holds a lot more stuff.

im in college, and the hatchback really appeals to me for the room, but there isnt anything that you cant have delivered anyway.

so i guess i just want people to post their opinions. not flaming either one (sedan or P5) i love em both, just dunno which i want.

also are there at least as many mods for the sedan as the 5?

i chose the P5 for the more usable cargo room and the looks.

Why do you feel like you're gonna whack into something when driving the P5? I like the P5 design a lot.. more than the new civics, more than the protege sedans. And the P5's definately have more room, with the seats folded down and the with the hatch you can fit SO much in there. P5.. go for it... you know waaaant it.

the rear hatch isn't all the big unless the rear seats are folded flat.
I mainly chose it because I was looking for a wagon (matrix, subaru impreza, vw jetta wagon/golf). and the MP5 had some of the best qualities and looks

i meant smaller in the amount of interior room as far as cargo storage. i know its a bit long then the P5 but theoreticly it would hold less is what im gettin at by saying its smaller.

Buying a new car can be tough.. it's a big decision considering your probably planning to have the car for 5 years... and who knows what they'll be doing in 5 years!.. luckily you've narrowed yourself down to 2 really good choices.. so you can't really go wrong now

The main two reason I got the P5 are..
1. I do a lot of camping and driving trips.. I wanted the extra space.. and more importantly, easy access to all the gear, no matter where it was in the car.. that was my only "problem" with a sedan.. you can pack tons of stuff in it too.. but sometimes you can't get at everything as easily..

2. The look really impressed me.. it's tough to find a car that can look sporty, but also looks smart (practical).. and I like that it doesn't look (give or take) the same as 80% of the cars on the road that are sedans..

I'm sure either one would have suited my needs just fine.. but now that I have one.. I couldn't live without the hatch..

P5 all the way. Easier to put my fat beagle Carleton in the back with seats folded. Sorry no pics...but he's 35 lbs... and has asthma when he runs to much....

Utility! It doesn't suck gas like any SUV's and it looks good. Perfect for a couple of hockey bags, a couple of players, and fans. I love it. Did I mention the looks?

The wagon can definitely haul more.

I've got a sedan and I bought these huge-*** speakers and they *BARELY* fit in the backseat of my Pro. They wouldn't go through the back w/ the seats folded down either. I had to roll a window down and have the top of a box sticking out. I know for sure that they would have fit into the back of the P5 no problem.

That said, I still like the sedan better. I'm not a wagon fan...just stick some wood on the outside of the P5 and you've got your father's car.... :P

Ducking now...

go with the p5...i love the looks of the car and how it handled...its a blast to drive...i test drove three cars before i got my p5, i drove the new si, xrs matrix, jetta 1.8t...once i drove the p5, i said "i gotta get this"...the other cars were alright...and now that i see so many matrixes or matrices, im glad i went with my p5...as for mods, i think theres some, you just have to find em, im sure pretty soon theyll have a lot more...
