I went over to Mazda Recycling this weekend. It's in Rancho Cordova, just outside Sacramento. I got a "new" passenger mirror for $35 (for a '93). Sure beat the $133 the dealer wanted. $50 if I wanted it shipped. It may be worth a shot to give them a call. Here's their website:

Normally I'm down in Central / SoCal, but right now I'm in the East Bay, so it was an hour drive, plus there are discount malls out there (my mom likes that )

well there is some good news and there is some bad news. I will explain about the bad news....well not too long ago i was in a slight car accident, this lady in a really big old saburban ran into my left passenger door and dented it all the way until over my tire. It was her fault. She has lied to the insurance so they are sayin it was 50/50 and now i have to pay for her hitting me while she has to pay nothing becuz there was no damage to her car. so now i have to pay 500 for the deductable. But the good thing is my friends neighbor owns a body shop, he will fix my car and the mirror and this scratch i put on my car a really long time ago. he said he would put this all on one claim so i no longer have to worry about findind a cheaper mirror. my insurance can pay for that!

 

You can fight that insurance claim you know.

You do not have to accept their evaluation of the accident, and can insist on a review.

Was there a police report? If the woman hit you, what did she say to get to be a 50/50 fault accident?

yea i kno i can fight it but i am sick of dealing with the insurance. they take forever and i just want my car fixed. Plus if i go this way i will end up getting a good deal because all three of my little blemishes on my car will be fixed for 500 dollars instead of the 300 for the mirror and the 743 dollars for the scratch.
she said that she was at a stand still and that i ran into her, which isnt the case, we were both moving and once her car hit mine i stopped and she continued to hit my car.. so she is trippin or sumthing cuz she was not stopped. I think its fucked up that she isnt admitting what she did, i mean i wouldnt want to pay 500 dollars for some one elses car..but then again if i hit some kid i would fess up to it, i mean i am sure she has way more money than me....oh well what can you do, I am just dont dealing with the whole thing....i will just pay the 500....
