Just wondering if anyone has found a good Snowboard/Ski rack attachment for the stock roof rack on the P5. I looked on Thule's site for starters and it looks like they make a generic one. But not sure if it would just pop on the stock rack.

Also, has anyone seen one of those front protectors for the stock roof rack? I have seen them on other car's..they are usually black in color and span accross the front of the rack.

They have a few that mount to the factory racks, like:

I ordered a pair of slap on bike holders for use on my factory rack. They are kind of generic, but seem sturdy until I get a better setup. Haven't tried them yet, though. They were only $40 each. " PART # 64710 - Fork Mount Roof Rack Mounted Bicycle Carrier."

 

i got the thule 725 6 Ski Racks w/ the fat mouth clamps. Works good and looks sweet with the silver rack matching my silver car. only thing i do not like is the fatmouth clamp is not very secure. Someone could easily take it off of you car. But i guess it would useless as the rack would not be able to be opened.

I found a pic of that front piece for the rack. Thule calls it a fairing. I think it would look nice on the stock rack with the yellow P5. Just not sure if it will fit on the stock rack. If I get one and it fits I will take some pics and post them.
