I'm still trying to raise enough capital to start selling my rip-off item on eBay. "JDM Type-R Si V-TEC Sun-Visor Mounting Screws", which will really be some lowest-bidder sheet metal screws with a red "R" pad-printed on the screw head. I figure I can get about $10.00 a pair + shipping. Anyone want in on it?

Yeah, pretty sweet. Wonder if he has any for my Type R Daewoo Lanos, or my neighbor's VTEC Sonata with the big, aluminum wing that we built out of leftover construction scaffolding? And, lets not forget that Saturn SL1 with all of that genuine JDM stuff from Pep Boys on it, parked just outside of the local McDonald's where its proud owner spends all morning making really bad coffee.

Know what? I just had a great idea, and I would post a new thread, but I lack the initiative to do some searching on the web to come up with any photos. So, I am tasking anyone who is interested... and you can even take credit for it!

All this talk about Type R whatevers, fake tuner parts, etc has got me thinking... it would be amusing if we had a thread chock full of pictures of fake tuner cars. Like the automatic Kia Rio with a "Type R" emblem slapped on its hind end, or a "Z24" Chevette, or even the nearly legendary 4-cylinder mustang wearing 5.0L emblems. But it doesn't have to stop there with the badge.... man I wish I had snapped a pic of that Buick Regal I saw about a month ago with its big, grapefruit shooter exhaust. Too funny. Or that Neon I saw recently with a gaping hole (looks like it was cut with tin snips) in the hood to expose a conical air filter.

So, maybe there is a Chevrolet Aveo in your neighborhood that has GTR emblems on it. Maybe you've seen a Caprice with a giant APC decal across the top of the windshield. Or, perhaps the new guy at your work drives an automatic Geo Prizm with a four inch exhaust tip held on by a hose clamp.

This could be fun...
