Unhappy Spilled Milk

Man..... we took a 'family' trip to Disneyland, and after returning and getting our gear out of the car, we left the kids milk cup in the rear hatch area, well it spilled and soured. That has to be the worst smell ever. Does anyone have some tips on getting this stink out of the car. I have allready used carpet/upulstry cleaner on the carpet in the back, and have vaccumed it out good. But the smell is still there. I feel like it's that Seinfeld episode.

Crap!

Help is needed....

Thanks

Leave the hatch open on a nice day. I had the same prob in the front. I also used that car sent spray from the wash. Took a week or so, riding with the windows down, but it's gone now.

Man, you better act quick, though! My mother one time left an "empty" pint of milk on the floor in the back of her car and it got lost under the passenger seat for a week or so. It started smelling terribly awful, and when I went to scour out where the smell was coming from, I found the empty milk carton, and hundreds of maggots underneath the floor mat. They were wriggling their way up through the carpet and floor mat. The only way I could think to get them all out was to suck them up using the upholstry attachment on our vacuum cleaner. It was the most horrific and disgusting thing I've ever seen and had to clean. For the next week or so, we'd be driving and I'd look down at my feet and see a couple making their way to the surface. It wasn't until it completely dried out that the problem was finally taken care of, and I was able to use some strong shampoo and deodorizer. Hope you got to it in time! Good luck!

Ok, thats just sick. I really hope we don't get that, but with the cleaners I have put on it, and the fact it's only been like 4 days, but man, thats allmost bad enough to be a good urban myth. *sarcasm*

thanks all

Just a heads up from my own goof with Febreeze for Cars(or is it labelled "for Automobiles"?) I had two mice die in my A/C,(my old Mitsu Mirage, not my new P-5) ten days apart, last JULY. After cleaning dead mouse stuff out of my cooling core and ductwork twice (I still have the wrist scars; looks like a half-a$$ed suicide attempt) I went way overboard with the spray, and the overload smelled almost as bad as the fermenting mice. Start gently with whatever you use. Good luck!
