Sport Exhaust Install
#3
I did it without lifting the car. I have the original springs and such, if you're lowered at all you probably can't do it. Tightest fit was getting the stock muffler/pipe out, you have to rotate it slightly for the flange to clear some rear suspension pieces. Sport pipe goes thru real easy. The job only took about 20 mins total.

I was thinking about investing in the jack stands, just for the sake of owning them.. But I think this will be my only undercar mod... so.. I'll try it non jacked up first..
Lemme ask you this... Did you get courious, and fire the engine w/ no muffler? This is going to take much self control not to do it...

No, I didn't but your question reminded me of something. There are no hangers supporting the center pipe at all and I used my floor jack to support the pipe while the rear section was off. I was afraid of the stress harming the pipe or the cats. I recall someone saying they used a bungi cord to support it but then you'd probably have to lift it to attach the cord. Having a jack & stands is a good idea tho', I use mine often.

Buy some ramps. It'll make the exhaust job easier and even if your not doing any other mods you'll use them everytime you change your oil. I'm assuming since your doing the exhaust your changing your own oil.
