Strange "Hitch"

A bit of a strange one for you guys...
I find that sometimes when I'm decelerating, by the time I come down to almost exactly 60kmh, I feel the car "hitch" slightly..I can't describe it any better way, and it doesn't always happen...feels like it could be coming from the transmission...that's the only time I feel it...any clues?

Manual or automatic? How many miles is on the car? Ever had the tranny flushed? More info is helpful. Could be the automatic downshifting.

Its an automatic, 29000kms, tranny never flushed...I shouldn't feel such an obvious shift should I?

Don't need to flush with only 29km. I've never driven a protege with an automatic but no, it shouldn't jerk when it downshifts (if that's when it happens). Must be time for a warranty visit to the dealer.

Are you coasting to slow down, or does this happen with the brakes applied? What about outside temp and moisture? Like the others have said. More info.

It only happens when I'm coasting, slowing down...I'm in Barbados, so the temperature here is warm and sunny, generally about 28-30 degrees....can't think of any other factors...I always have my AC on, I'm not a "slow" driver but I'm very respectful of the car in my driving...I don't overdo...the car was an import from Japan with 17000kms on it, can't imagine what damage could have be done with such low mileage...it was hit on the front left side, damage just cosmetic...bumper replaced, chassis and sub frame all in perfect condition...anything else?

The "hitching" that you are experiencing might be your AC turning on and eating away alot of your power in the process.... if that doesnt explain it , next time just watch your tachometer and try to remember what it does....
