Lightbulb Sun shades (for the windshield)

You know those silver thingies you put up inside your car to keep the sun off the dash, seats, etc.? Well, I'd like to know what brand/size you guys use. I'd like a custom one made for the Protege, but I don't think Mazda sells any.

Anyway, let know what you guys use.

If this belongs in the Appearance Forum, feel free to move it.

Thanks

I got mine at Target. I don't know the name of the brand, but it's one of those that folds ups in a weird way, not the traditional fold over fold. Anyways....I bought the large size, but it was too small for my P5. If you go with this type of sunshade...make sure you buy the extra large one.

HeatShields

I've had my eye on these, but they're like 30 bucks. Problem with the regular ones is that if they don't sit right up against the windshield (or close enough) they can actually generate more heat than they block...

I, too, went to Target.

I, too, had to return the standard size to get the large size (SUV/minivan size).

I, too, don't remember the brand.

They do fold up in a weird way, but I think they fit under the seat better than the accordion-fold cardboard ones. They help a lot with keeping the car cool, especially if you also crack the windows a half inch.

It's just my opinion, but I don't think I'd want a custom set of Mazda shades, unless they were the same price as standard ones.

Heh...I never thought about putting it under the seat! I always threw it in the back seat and it was always a pain in the *** to reach back and get it.
