Does anybody have a test pipe in there P5?
How much did it cost to have made?
For those of you that have a Magnaflow muffler, how does it sound. ie. raspy, resonance, rice like?
Also which muffler did you get?
How much was the custom set up?

I was looking into the Bosal or Racing Beat or MazdaSpeed I dont remember.

huh? i have a custom cat back with the Apexi N1 muffler.. sounds good not too TOO ricey, its deep not loud at all

 

by "test pipe" i assume you mean no cats?
new cat designs are not very restrictive, i'll bet you don't gain much by removing them.

 

I use the Magnaflow Exhaust on my P5, and it sounds nice. Its not loud and annoying, its deep and throaty. I got the Race Series oval shaped muffler with the 4in. tip. But! im switching it out with the Ractive Exhaust tommorow, with a custom 2 1/4in. piping. Im giving my Magnaflow to my wifes Z24, ive only had it on for like 3 months. Im getting the Ractive for $100 and the piping for $50. It took me all day to find that price for the piping, everyone else wanted $100. Anywayz, the Magnaflow is a great exhaust, I love it, I just wanted a different style muffler. I got the Magnaflow Exhaust for $160 installed, so see if you can get it for that price. If you cant get it close to that price, I can get it for you for $150, and the dual tipped for $200.

 

This is a dumb question, but what the hell you people mean when they say "ricey"? I have to know. Is that like some derrogatory term or something? Thanks

 

sounds like crap basicaly, loud farting sound.. not deep and bassy

 

Also, my friends have the Magnaflow mufflers on there car too, but theres isnt very loud at all. Mine wasnt really that loud and deep until I put my intake and cams. So if you want a loud, deep sounding exhaust and you have no other mods, the Magnaflow may not be loud at all.

 

For engine mods I just have a Injen CAI. Bunch of other mods just not for the engine.

 

I have a '00 sedan w/magnaflow. I love the sound of it. It's a deep, mellow sound thats not too quiet and not too loud. Its perfect. When I ride in my car and take off its not that loud in the car at all, but my friends say they can hear me from a long ways. I don't get it because my old exhaust was louder in the car, but ppl say that they hear me further away now. I changed to magnaflow for the better, quieter sound, and a little more horses. Just a couple.
