trade in value
go to www.edmunds.com
they have an excellent tool for determining used car prices and will show you the trade in, private party sale, and dealer retail prices.
That said, most dealers will offer you less than the trade in value. Don't worry and don't let them rattle you, print out the invoice, msrp, and TMV (edmunds) prices of the new car you want to buy and figure out what you want to pay for it after the trade. I usually try to buy the car at invoice while getting the trade in amount from edmunds. I bought 2 new cars, an 02 Protege LX last May, and an 03 6i a few weeks ago. It worked both times.
Of course, the dealer will disagree and offer a higher price. You can do 1 of several things.
1. Accept his offer (not recommended).
2. Make a counter offer (and go through the whole process again).
3. Get up and leave (my choice). If they really want to sell a car (and car sales are slow right now) and your offer is reasonable, they will accept your offer.
You have to be ready to buy that day and sign on the dotted line. Make sure that your trade in vehicle is clean and ready to go. I made the mistake of not switching out my Alpine head unit before giving up my trade in. It was 7 years old, but still better than the factory one in the Protege.

Your only problems here is you are going to get hit hard about your exhaust. Since you are missing your cat, they will charge you for whatever it costs to return it to factory spec. I also think that they will not be to keen on your coilovers. From my experience, I wouldnt expect you to get what you deserve for your car, I would try to sell it yourself. If you do try to trade it in at least take the CF hood off and try to sell it. The dealer would prefer the original hood anyway. Hope this helps.

good thing i kept all my stock items becaues i have both my old springs , hood ,stock intake and a new factory cat and muffler
so i guess i be selling my hood , intake and coilovers .

i would sell it on your own. Youll definately get more $$$ for it. Also, you may find a tuner that would pay alittle extra for a car that's already been started. Hey, have you seen the '04 wrx STI. All i have to say is damn. At 300hp 300lbs torque it'll be the most powerfull 4 banger ever sold in the states. it won't be out for another 7-8 months and will prolly cost about $30k. I'm thinkin that will be my next car if i can afford it. With your $10k down and 0% interest it would cost you:
60 months = $333
48 months = $416
36 months = $555
It's alittle pricey but damn. Somethin about turbo's melts my butter.
