How many miles did you have on your p5, and how much did you get on the trade in? Just curious...

You lucky bastard. I wish I wouldn't have needed a car until now. If I wouldn't have needed a car and if my state actually got an MSP its very possible I would have one.

What are you going to do with your autoexe grill? Keep it for the MSP or sell it with the car? If you are just going to sell it with the car I would be interested in purchasing it from you.

I live in canada so we go by KMS I had 32000, my car in the market is worth 17000 and I owed 19500 but my salesguy
a friend hid money and took it for exactly what it i owed, I'm keeping the grill for the msp and quite possibly the ww body kit since I haven't painted it yet and it is not on my p5.

I got it from a guy in vancouver he's importing stuff for canadians, he posted on this site not too long ago about I think the thread is called autoexe parts or something along that line. You live in calgary right? A buddy and me are taking a road trip there on march 5 and we will probably get there on the 7th, 40 hour drive and we are staying with some friends for a week, were going to go out to some clubs and bars and have a good time. Maybe i'll see your msp there, I'm not driving mine because of the miles that will go on it but we are bringin my friends GTI.

Here's what Sport Compact Car magazine had to say about your new car:
"This car is our new benchmark for production car front-drive performance That's right, it has knocked the Acura type R off the mountain."

"Fact is, the MazdaSpeed Protege is probably faster up your favorite mountain road than the Type R, which is the ultimate litmus test for usable speed. We know it's faster through the slalom. AT 72MPH, IT'S THE FASTEST PRODUCTION CAR WE'VE TESTED."

Congrats!

I did the same thing and it was the best move I ever made. I have upgarades the intercooler and up the boost. I ordered the gauge pod and the three gauges to monitor boost, Exhaust Temp and Fuel pressure.

I'll just pick up a tricked out Mazda3 or Mazda6 in '05 or '06. I just got my P5 back in May '02 and couldn't dream of going upside-down on it or losing so much in such a short time. I'll ride this one out (I love it anyway!) and think about a new car when this one pushes 100K+ in mileage.

I built a $6.00 valve from pieces from True Value hardware to controll the vacuum to the wastegate.
