the T3 isn't bad but you can get a nice T3/T4 hybrid for about the same money and have a lot more power....although you better invest in some engine management or a built bottom end.....preferably both.

Both are good deals though

Wink

you will need about 5 liters of motor, at the least, to properly "move" the first turbocharger. thats a straight T4. you can tell by the split in the exhaust housing inlet to the impeller wheel. that and the fact it is a 61mm piece according to their description. 61mm = BIG.

the 2nd turbocharger is pretty nice: it has a .48 hot side so it can definitely spool up faster than your regular run-of-the-mill .63 AR T3. a 1.6L motor will love it. you're gonna have to find an elbow for it, unless it was just removed for the photos.

hybrids are getting relatively easy to score. a T3/T4 like mine will run you around $700 with all the bells and whistles. i think a .48 AR hybrid with a 46 trim E wheel would be great on my protege...

it always cracks me up watching people like SSautochrome try to impress with their "can easily push 25 PSI" bullsh!t. your average T3 starts to lose efficiency after 20-21 PSI. i would rather they rate the compressors in airflow/minute vs. their efficiency, since i would rather make 250 hp @ 18 PSI than being a 'boost junkie' making 260 hp at 24 PSI. hello, detonation!

it sounds like you need to read up more on this before you start buying parts. You may not understand yet what exactly you need and how everything works.

why would you chnage cam gears? do you think that the stock camshafts are well-suited for turbo applications? when you put the gears on, what would you do with them...

if you wanted to make GOOD power, you would need forged rods and pistons at the least. an inline 4 banger crank should last for some time. you would need bigger injectors, a bigger fuel pump, a good on-dyno tune and alot of patience.

my SVO has a stock intercooler, stock 36# injectors, and a stock PCM. granted, my PCM is for a turbocharged car but still, the curves in both fuel and spark are rather tame. i made 246 rwhp/292 rwtq @ 17 PSI of boost and 16* initial timing. time, knowledge and money are nescessary to getting further in this game.

ask all the questions you want, it seems there are some rather intelligent people here who can help you out with alot of your tech issues. i will always be happy to lend a hand.
