us versus them Pro's win!

Just last week I had the opportunity to go to the 2002 car & truck showand had a look-see at the ZX-5 and the Matrix. In a nutshell,it reaffirmed my decision to go with the P5! The Ford doors seemed flimsier and both vehicles were taller than I would have expected (and weren't appealing). Although the centre stick on the Toy was neat.

There was a sunburst yellow 5 on display and it had a whack of aftermarket (factory?) options on it. The price was (again in canuck bucks): Base: $19,895 with options: $27,670

Here's what they added/included to get to the option price:

Paint $105
Airflow intake $240
Stainless steel muffler $230
Stainless steel braided hoses $70
Tinted window (gradient gold) $350
Alloy wheels $3000
Alum oil & rad caps

BTW...saw my dream car!! the Beemer Z8 (195K Cdn$ plus tax)

us versus them part 2

Sorry....fooked up! This is a continuation of the previous post
D'oh!!

Here's what they added/included to get to the option price:

Sunburst Yellow Paint $105
Airflow intake $240
Stainless steel muffler $230
Stainless steel braided hoses $70
Tinted window (gradient gold) $350
Alloy wheels $3000
Alum oil & rad caps $60
Nose bra $215
wind deflector $115
Leather two tone $1500

a/c $1000
moonroof $800

that adds up to $27580

I must have missed something else for the other $90.

But Im wondering if the airflow intake is now being offered by the dealerships?

Thanks!!

a continuation of another post http://protegeclub.com/forum/showthr...&threadid=3981

Came away with the same view. The P5 is a great buy! Funny how everyone from Kia to Hyundai have something similar.
As for dream cars the Z8 in nice, had a burn in one from a customer, (benefits of the job!) big bucks though. For a few more dollars I'd get a 360 Modena. IMHO
