Vibrant StreetFlow Intakes

Vibrant StreetFlow Intakes
Vibrant has developed a nice intake for the 2.0L Proteges.
Once these come off the current 6-week back-order (ouch), looks like I will be able to get them for $129 SHIPPED - that's right - $129 includes everything.
They are nice looking intakes, and should perform as well as any of the others (AEM, Injen) - plus they look to be the cheapest non-home made intakes yet for our cars. They come with everything necessary for bolting it right on - tube, filter, hardware, instructions, etc.
These are short-ram style, but are slightly longer than the AEM and don't dip down into the engine bay. The filter is located near where the Injen goes into the fender - basically, it is like the Injen, without the last downward bend.
They will be available in Red, Blue and Polished.
I will post pix as soon as I can get some.
I am trying to put together an order for these, and I might be able to get the price down another few bucks if I can order a bunch.
More info will be coming in the next few weeks, so stay tuned....
Anyone interested, please post, PM, or send emal to nejnai@optonline.net - I will add your email to my "Intake" list, and will pass along any info as I get it. Try to let me know what color (blue, red, polished) you are thinking of so I can get a sense of what to order beforehand. I probably will not be able to keep an "inventory" of these, but I will have at least a few at a time, and getting more will be no problem once the backorder is caught up. I can "reserve" an order right now, so I'd like to see what colors I should try to hold on to (I'm thinking the polished and red will be by far the most popular).
Finally, a sub-$200 intake!

Sounds sweet....so would they ship to Canada for that price?
Let's see...at current exchange rates, $129 USD is about $205 CDN. That's not too bad. The best price I've found for the AEM short ram is $314 CDN.
Can you provide any shipping info for us poor Canadians?
Thanks!

I don't expect shipping to Canada to be a problem - if anything it might be a few bucks more, but definitely nothing outrageous.
As far as the 1.8L intake - I will check that out, too. It's possible that that one might not even be on backorder, which meant I might be able to get it right away. What year 1.8 do you have? Auto or manual (I'm no sure it it matters, but better safe than sorry).
I'm gonna PM you guys.

They do make intakes for a decent amount of applications, so anyone who wants something other than the 2.0L (1.6/1.8), post the details of your ride, or email me, or send me a PM and I will find out - remember to list what year and engine size Protege you have.

Okay - well, seems like they only make the intakes for the 2.0L - no 1.6 or 1.8 - as far as something made for a 2.0L being modified or made to fit one of the others - I really wouldn't know if it can be done.
Evil Homer - I'm expecting the price to be roughly the same for Canadians (converted to Canadian currency, of course). If there is any increase, I think it will be minimal. I will definitely let you all know what the set prices are, but $129 is for the US (unless we can get a decent group-buy thing happening - than we could all save maybe $10 or so), and converted to Canadian - I'm not sure exactly what that is, but I think you guys will be able to get them for under $230 shipped Canadian.
No need to "commit" just yet, Homer . In a couple of weeks, I might be trying to squeeze some money from y'all. I have to find out what the backorder status will be later - if the backorder "ends" and then these are readily available, cool - "pay as you go"- if you want one, I'll get one to you. If it's going to be limited availability or looks like the backorders will keep happening, maybe I'll be able to talk some of you into pre-paying, or maybe just a deposit, so I can get things rolling for us.
More to come.....

Do you mean these guys? http://www.vibrantperformance.com/
Because if so... their headquarters are in Missisauga, Ontario. So you'd be retarded to order something through the US and then back to Canada...
Try this page for your local Canadian dealer: http://www.vibrantperformance.com/canada.html

I'm guessing that that's them - but I have a local wholesaler - I'm not getting them direct from Vibrant - I don't think they sell to the public, and I don't have a distributorship with them.
Maybe you Canadian guys can get them locally, but I'm working with a US distributor, and I haven't seen these intakes anywhere other than in this wholesaler's catalog.
