Silver, but I'm kind of biased. Little more upscale looking than yellow. So I guess I would decide whether I wanted to scream (Yellow) or just look good (Silver).

I have a silver one and I like it. It really depends on what catches your eye. I like silver or black. The blue would be runner up, then red, then yellow.

Lighter colors will tend to look better when dirty, while darker colors will show everything. Red is a good choice if you want something that looks good even if dirty, but still looks good clean.

If you end up customizing or are thinking of getting some new rims or something take into account your favorite rims or the Altezzas (if you like them), etc. into account for the body color.

Personally - If I had to pick another P5 I would still get it in silver. It is classic, easy to keep clean and you don't have to worry about it being the same as everyone elses silver car because you own it and you can do whatever the hell you want to it without worrying about what other people think - then again , who cares what color everyone else ( including myself ) likes the best. You are the one who has to drive it and you are the one who will feel cool that you picked the best color for who you are.
Get what color YOU like the best, if I listened to what people told me I would probably be driving a damn mini-van instead of my MP5. ( thank God for me being true to who I am!)

The yellow paint seems rather thin, do a search & you'll see what problems other have had with it!

Too many silver backers. Talk is cheap, here's some pictures to aid you in making that decision... LOL

The link here is not about a P5, but just use your imagination and tell me you wouldn't want your P5 to be yellow....

Okay, here's an album full of a yellow P5 ... so you like, yet?

This is my car... so okay, I'm a little bias as well...

Good luck and have fun cuz a P5 will look good in ANY color.

Yeah, but I believe Mazda's paint on all their cars are sort of like that. My friend's silver Miata has small chips on top of the hood because of debris on the road.

My yellow car hasn't received many chips yet and I've had my car for just about half a year now. I do agree they are thin compared to the average cars out there.

This will likely stir up some controversy... but Yellow P5s do not have Clearcoat... all other colors do. Yes, I know this has been discussed before , and Mazda always has said 'all P5 colors have clearcoat'. But there is hard evidence from a Yellow P5 owner here in Canada who's car was determined by a body shop to have no Clearcoat... and finally Mazda Canada and the dealer got their story straight and confirmed that Yellow does not have clearcoat. Here is a Post on this subject at TOProtege.com from the Yellow P5 owner in question:

well it's official....the yellow p5's do NOT have clear coat. it is a single stage base coat enamel.

this comes from mazda canada, three dealers, and 3 paint shops one of which owns a yellow p5 and tested it while my dealer waited on the phone.

i wish it weren't so but the evidence would not seem to lie.

i know some of you may disagree and argue that i'm wrong so to you i put forth this challenge, if you can provide me with proof positive in the form of documentation or provide me with the name of a "pro clear coat" dealer that can prove that my 2002 yellow p5 should have come complete from the factory with clear coat i will personally deliver a case (or equivilant thereof) of the alcoholic beverage of your choice to your front door with my sincerest gratitude. if your a minor don't worry i'll hook you up. this contest ends wednesday morning at 9 am, as that is when my car goes in to have the front fascia redone by mazda.

thanks and good luck.

p.s. i really mean this, no joke.

I believe the thread was "what color should I get"....well cavalino, the question is...what colors do YOU like....WE all got the color of car we have based on what WE like....personally I couldn't care what color OTHER people like....its ME that is laying out the serious green for MY car....so....its a matter of what I like to look at...not someone else....I like to "SCREAM" as someone else put it....no need to try to blend in....with that...I got the yellow....and have had NO problems with it.

just my .02.

Am I the only one that just absolutely loves the Pure White P5's? So clean looking.. and it'll look great with my gunmetal rims and carbon fiber hood.

probably don't have to tell you this BUT if you're a lazy guy then whatever you do, don't get a black one! sure it looks damn good and the colour seems nice'n'deep but keeping it clean is a real pain in the ***...
