The answer to this is NO - Not all. Only half of it...

I really appreciate your comments guys.... I really do.
I still have time to change my mind as the glass is in back order and it will take couple of weeks to order it in. But here is the reason.
The guy qouted me $365 for an aftermarket glass. It comes with 90 days warranty for parts. For an OE glass with he qouted me $565 ($400 for glass and $165 for install). The OE comes with 1 year warranty.
Either way I still have to pay $300 ... and my insurance picks up the rest.
Why I decided to go for OE glass?
First of... the warranty is one year as compared to 3 months (aftermartket).
Another thing is that ... IMHO thin is ligther than thick... Now our car is already heavy enough for its size.. putting a heavier glass will definitely add extra weight to the car. But is thin less stronger than thick? IMHO our glass is not bad because i got hit so many times before it broke.....i can still recall that the last time was really.. really a big hit ... that i think any glass would not be able to withstand the blow....
The other thing is that I read some mix opinions (not in this thread) regarding aftermarket glass. Some say that the aftermarket is prone to streaks and rain marks... is this true....?
Well.. i am not trying to say that all after market parts are bad... for our car but.... I am very very disappointed with after market bulbs ... I have owned my car for over a year now and I have bought 6 pairs of aftermarket head light bulbs - and one pair of after market fog bulbs. They all broke in just ranging from one week to a couple months. Yes... they are not over wattage.....and ironically those bulbs that i bought were not the cheap ones... So now after all those expensive bulbs ... I have my stock head and fog bulbs in my car.
Again i not trying to say that all after market is bad cause i replaced the stock HU and the intake with an after market one.....
I guess.. what i am trying to say is that ....anything that is glass related.... i want to use OEM parts...:-)
Now i could still change my mind on this....is there any other good name glass that i could compare with this PPG?
Thanks,
Protege5_Toronto.
