My P5's haptic envelope will blow away that piece of crap's!

.

.

.

Give me 34.1 ft of flat ground and my four omni-wheels will allow 360 degrees of rotation, too.

.

.

.

Speaking of wheels, I like this one:

Most people think Motegi rims suck, but these have a classically simple design, come in Protege-compliant 16x6.5+42, weigh 12.1 lbs, and cost around $230--not a bad alternative to the almighty hardcore RacingHart CP-035.

If only they came in silver...but the gunmetal isn't too bad.

This morning I washed my P5 and discovered the merits of cleaning wheels with a kitchen sponge. Far more efficient than a brush!

I like those wheels as well.. they look really nice. but yeah motegi = ugh usually

plus 16x7 would be nice

I noticed this morning with the 36F conditions when I went for a drive how downright harsh and unbearable my car is with summer wheels/tires in cold weather. It's like the tires turn to stone. my rubber band tires are what give my car a compliant ride (if roads are smooth enough).. but just every single little imperfection sprayed scalding hot apple cider all of my hand (cup in cupholder, hand on shifter.. I was not drinking and driving).

I need a roll of tape to keep in the car so that I can tape over the openings on those starbucks-type cheap crap lids.

oh and tirerack just called me, they were worried because I ordered tires a decent bit taller than stock size. I love that level of customer service.

they fit just fine

front will be 0.75" lower and rear will be about half an inch higher this winter though..

goldline springs were very ftl, looked grossly uneven with the snow tires http://picasaweb.google.com/claureta...94875874639890

Looks ok to me (better than msp springs on stock struts), but I agree about their quite subpar design.

There was .75 - 1" of difference in wheel gap front to rear. As it turns out, they didn't really make a spring application for the P5, though the site I bought from said otherwise. Now the goldline springs just sit in my garage collecting dust (and rust soon if I don't get them up off the floor)

Just grind off the bolts ,punch out the left over and use regular bolts ,nuts and washers to pull everything together

my small tool supply doesnt include anything to cut/grind just wrenches and sockets and the stock car jack...it took me a few minutes to trust putting my arm under the car with that thing.

Dude, jackstands are $10 at walmart. Don't be stupid. Go pick yourself up a set. I wouldn't set my pinky toe under my car when it's on my race jack, much less the stocker, if it doesn't have a jack stand under it.

But makes a damn good point. I would absolutely never get under a jacked up car without jack stands. That's risky business that's just asking for some severe bone crushing.

Call it what you want, I'm doing him a favor. There's no reason you should ever get under a car supported only by a jack.

To be 'nice,' it's an enormous risk that can be 99% eliminated by the proper use of $10 jackstands. That's all I was getting at.

It's true, I'm cautious of having just a jack even to change a tire. No way I'm putting any limbs under the car.

I don't even use jackstands, I invested in ramps!

^ I'm too damn low for ramps .. can't get up them without potentially destroying my bumper.
