What have you done to your 3rd Gen today?

I could have gotten the bushings with the zerks but chose not to. I didn't realize how noisy those poly bushings would get. No big deal, if the rubber ones fit my gf won't know the difference. She does push the car (based on her stories to me of how she dusts people off in the turns) but not like I do.
If I do have to keep the poly bushings on, I have been using molybdenum disulfide assembly lube on them. Good for about four months, doesn't seem to pick up much if any dirt. Only thing is you have to remove the bushings in order to lube them.

I used the same gasket, its like the dealership showed on their computer its a thick ring thing, and not the gasket that the autopart stores were trying to sell me, I dont know why they all show the same part from the same company and its a good centimeter short of fitting across the bolts.
added pics of the remains of the nut

^^ that's the best racing beat muffler tip style (of the three) in my opinion.. the wide oval tip one doesn't quite fit the bumper cutout.
Since I got my racing beat catback Ive been considering having that tip grafted onto it. That way I'd retain the larger muffler inlet of the catback but lose the double-wall tip style. Plus that tip is even less oval looking

You didn't install a Racing Beat muffler unless I read wrong. I thought you installed the Mazdaspeed Axleback? It's not the same as the Mazdaspeed Protege axlebacks (made by Racing Beat)or the Racing Beat catback for P5/sedan muffler. It's made by Borla or some other company for Mazda, sold as a dealer accessory. It has a cylindrical muffler canister, the Racing Beat mufflers are much larger.

Did what I said I was going to, unfortunately the factory rubber bushings won't fit in the brackets for the poly ones. Everything is lubed up, GT Spec rear bar back in. Looked at my maintenance book, I'm going to have to change the oil and rotate the tires this week before I leave (in addition to changing the oil and returning things to stock on the Speed6, just in case something major happens while I am gone my gf can take it to the dealer without worrying about any bs).

Oh yeah, forgot about this. While I was under the rear of the car, I noticed the drain plug for the spare tire well wasn't in properly. I always pay attention to this sort of thing, it was fine before. No idea how it happened, I got it seated the way it is supposed to be. Don't want to be getting nasty salty water in there during the winter.

TODAY I R DRIVING MY 3RD GEN! IT IS FUN? how about you guys?
anyone alive still?
I need to just open my IRC server for public use and give everyone the info.
edit: ^^ I never finished that thought. give everyone the info so that in case of a forum emergency, if someone needs to know if in fact that wheel/tire combo will rub, they have an outlet to field their question

Yeah there was frost here too, but the garage protected my car from it. I still gotta find the plug for my engine block heater, when the body shop put the new bumper on they tucked it up out of reach somewhere
