OOOH, you have a sedan. Don't listen to me then... in the P5 it's WAY easier just taking everything out (and doesn't take very long), but I don't know what needs to be done on the sedans.

for the sedan, you just need to fold the rear seats down, remove the rear deck panel, and the outer seat belts, then the strut top is right there.

No no .. mine's a P5. But I have the MSP sub/amp rack installed back there which means I would have to disconnect the amp, take out the rack, take apart the panels, then reinstall everything. Too much work .. WAY too much work.

And yes, all of those strut bolts are a pain in the ***

at least for those of us who live in the non-slave states :P

Actually I ripped all that out in favor of the stock wiring harness--16ga wire is totally fine with 65W bulbs. I'm just pushing it a little further at 85W.

Thermal shock FTW! I'll keep you guys updated. If I have problems I'll just rip out the crappy-*** stock fogs and get some PIAAs in there or something.

Try HIDs in the P5 fogs--the 6ft in front of your car will be REALLY BRIGHT. Woohoo!

I heard the sedan fogs are actually decent.

well, sort of - i did the fog light mod so i can use them with only the parking lights, not the headlights, and i use them more for DRL's than actually seeing. they are too low to the ground to throw any real usable light - but, it is more than 6ft

Like 7ft? =P Anyway, stock fogs have some value making other motorists slightly more aware of you. But nowadays they're more like design elements, so there's no emphasis on performance.

I pulled my fogs in favor of the delete kit from onlinemazdaparts. Way cooler unless you are going for the rally car look.

Yesterday I spent 4+ hours dremeling my rear endlinks off (and 2 hours dremeling your mom's rear endlinks ; ). But it was worth it, cause now I have a nice stiff rear made possible by Racing Beat and GTSPEC.

While I was down there I checked out my exhaust a bit, and there is *no* way I am going to get the stock axleback off of that car. Rust has literally fused it together, same at the midpipe joint. I guess its stock exhaust for me, yay MI.
