I get to race to the autoparts store for extra fine rubbing compound to try to remove the acid rain etching on my roof and hood. WOOT! It is twenty minutes away and I get off ten minutes before it closes. No pressure.lol

Clay barring did nothing by the way. I need to order some Griots clay and give it a try if the compund doesn't do it.

Also need some 3M adhesive remover as I took my door guards off and am sporting some tastey adhesive residue on one the drivers side of the car. I removed the other side with oops and three hours in 103 degree heat.

My wife calls, "Hey I put some stuff in your trunk, I had to push some heavy bag over to get it in." I go out to find a 25lb bag of sanded grout half empty witht he rest all over my trunk.

The day gets better and better!

^^ if there is a body shop supply store nearby, go there to get the adhesive remover.. there's some sort of 3M 'wheel' device that you can just roll back and forth on it to get it off.

I spend 8 hours WITH the 3M remover that everyone recommends before I got all the crap off.

as for the grout.. maybe just put some nice granite tile in your trunk? Easier to clean than the cheap crap carpet that comes stock

The 3M stripe-off wheel attaches to a drill; adhesive comes off much, much more easily.

Just found out that my dad had a case of 3M in the basement. Scweet.

Can't tile the trunk, I plan to lay hardwood. No one is supposed to know yet though.

^^ Made me laugh

So, I'm getting my front and rear lip, plus my side skirts painted and installed for $500 Canadian. Just wondering what you guys have paid for similar work?

Yesterday I decided my new clunk/rattle/whatever was coming from something other than the rear strut tower mounts, so I put the interior back together. Also, I was kinda hoping it was something in the hatch--loose spare tire, maybe?

Yea--no leftover fasteners! Boo--clunk remains.

Just got finished removing the spindles and front calipers, rear brake lines, engine, tranny, and half full gas tank from the pro5. It was fun hooking it up to my friends truck and dragging it down the road to the back parking lot. You should have seen the sparks flying.

Tomorrow most of the interior comes out. You still coming up tomorrow after 5 Rob?

I don't approve of P5 rapage

does it have a moonroof? I want a new headliner, mine has undercoating paint splattered on it (srsly.. was undercoating with the rear struts out, forgot to cover stuff up lol)

Yes it does. I'll see what condition its in tomorrow. I'll try to have some pics up soon. I'll probably be selling the axles, tranny and some other stuff. I have to see what Mazda is going to do about my engine too, I may have the P5 engine rebuilt with some forged goodies and get a hiboost kit
