i got my rear msp skirt installed on friday - makes the car look 80000000000x better.

went down to Connecticut over the long weekend, hit a monstrously large dear carcus on rt 91 near springfield, mass. pissed me off, becuase it destroyed my autoexe lower arm bar. fortunatly, didn't do anything else, except get the underside of my car all hairy and bloody.
my wife hit one of those the 1st time she drove my old blue lx to work... messy underneath (i'm just glad she DID center it)

i'm soooo glad i centered it, instead of hitting it with the wheel - that could have been scary - the thing was HUGE!!! the CRV in front of me almost didn't clear it... by the time i saw it come out from underneath him, it was too late to swerve

the only time I hit a deer (in CT.. they seem much less common in downtown rochester for some reason lol) I didn't center it.. I smacked that bitches legs and ruined her life. Serves her right for runnin out in front of me.

No damage at all to the car

... oh yeah because I was in my Mazda B4000 and the bumper is steel and bolted straight to the frame lol

not only did that oil cooler not fit, I saw this just as I was about to test fit it:

which tells me that the oil cooler was leaking coolant into the oil (well.. the other way around, as the coolant is only at what.. 1.1bar? so yeah oil into the coolant if it was hooked up to the car).. I'll have to discuss this with the dude I bought it from to see if he knew about that or if he just pulled it off a spare engine (as I believe all Mazda BP engines had the cooler.

I spent the weekend driving around CT/MA--nice up there! Ford Focus rental care ftl. It has a little speaker to fake the turn signal ticking sound--what the hell?

Fox - that door lock mod is ftw. I hate elbow-wrestling those little *******. They always win!

Thanks Josh, glad to hear at least someone around here likes my work
It's a pretty easy mod, but just took me forever to get around to doing it. I hate removing the door panels, cuz I can never put them back on without making them rattle like crazy.

On a side note, I added two additional lighter ports yesterday so I can finally have my radar detector & phone charger plugged in but not be in the way of the cupholder. See pics below..

nice placement. That one in the rear suggests that you are attempting to make the car nicer or more convenient for rear seat passengers. Kansei does not approve lol. Rear seat passengers are ftl --I treat my car like a 2-seater that can fit a third in a pinch, even though it's quite roomy back there from what I gather.

Kinda but not really .. I put it there so I can plug in stuff without having to look at the annoying LED that shines off the phone charger. Plus it allows me to run the wire underneath the arm rest and out of the little e-brake opening so it looks pretty stealth from the driver's seat. If the rear passengers want to use it they're welcome to, but I rarely ever have anyone in the back seat.

Poor, man--almost unpostable!

I don't have rear passengers often, but today was a rare exception. Drove some people for lunch today and, to my embarrassment, it rubbed. I rolled the rear fenders last winter! It rubs on the superwide sidewall that forms the rim protection ridge. That thing is 1/4" wider than it needs to be and ugly. Sooo ftl. Wish I could get through these tires and on to some more appropriate 205/45s.

what sucks is that this is all very on-topic discussion going on in a forum the posts don't count in :P
