Whistle noise between 70-80 MPH
I hear a loud whistle coming from the engine compartment when traveling between 70 and 80 MPH. This only happens while pressing the accelerator.
I absolutely ruled out wind noise (wipers/roof rack/sunroof). I saw a couple posts from people with the same problem, but there was no resolution.
It's a very "electronic" sounding noise. My guess is that it could be from the alternator since it occurs when pressing the accelerator. Or it could have something to do with the throttle.
The dealer is useless ("Don't drive that fast"). Duh!
My P5 has 10,000 miles, and it's been doing this since day one. Any ideas???

well, at first I couldn't here it b/c my wiper blades made the noise when the wind passed through them. But when I changed them another noise came, the one you are talking about. I never hecked on it, b/c is doesn't affect driving. Just use the old technique and turn the radio up.
