I was reading a thread between a couple of guys how to upgrade the wiper switches to VARIABLE intermittant. I cant find the thread so i am gonna hope that the guys i was seeing talking see this.

One guy suggested using the wiper switch out of an MPV or Tribute and recited this part number GE6V-66-128. Are there any specific years of MPV's or tributes I can use? or will any year do (Like the MPV back to the late 80's)

There is an entire thread in the "HOW-TO" section of the forum. it has pictures and all the details including the part numbers....

I just performed this upgrade...works like a champ...and I got the wiper stalk NEW from mazdastuff.com (which happens to be an actual mazda dealer in austin texas) for $78 plus shipping....the regular across the counter price of the wiper stalk is $118.

 

I think this will be my next mod. I like that fact that it is plug and play.....

 

hey Guys I did it! I got a wiper switch from a '01 MPV and it works like a dream! Thanks for all your input

PS check with an autowrecker, They usually go for $70 CDN through a wrecker but I know the guy so he traded me straight across for $0!
