AWR 19MM rear bar troubles?

Anyone considering AWR's 19mm rear sway bar be forewarned. I ran into the following problems. The bar does not fit. It hits the rear lateral links no matter how I install it. Upside down, rightside up, with or without the aluminum stand-off adapters. The included urethane "D" bushings don't fit in the stock brackets. They don't really fit very well around the new 19MM bar either (bar too big or hole too small?). The supplied #10 bolts to mount the stock brackets bottom out in the holes just as they reach full tightness, (If you can get the holes lined up at all around those oversized D bushings.) I ended up having the rear section of the bar cut off just behind the "tight" setting tab so I could mount it at all. After recutting the bar AGAIN, (this time taking off some of the tab itself so it FINALLY quit hitting the lateral link,) I got it on the car. I got less than a mile and it snapped the stock end link clean off at the ball socket the first time I went into a driveway. I might as well have put $160.00 in a paper bag, lit it on fire, and threw it out the window as I drove down the freeway. I hope you have better luck than I did.

you didnt install it properly, there are plenty of members that have the awr bars and had no issues at all installing them

Perhaps if installed on a "slammed" car with no suspension to start with, you wouldn't notice it binding up, or hear it banging against the rear lateral links. I've done lots of mods on lots of auto-x rides, and this one stands out as very poorly R & D'd in my opinion.
