Bouncy ride with Tokico suspension kit

Figured I'd ask this here first. I have the Tokico HP suspensions kit installed (matched strut/springs). It wasn't objectionable to me until I installed the rear sway bar bushing relocation kit. Now with the rear sway bar working as it should, the ride is bouncy. Since this is going to become my gf's main drive she wants me to change back to stock springs. I would rather not lose the lowered stance but of course I want her to be happy. Anyone have any ideas about this? I am not sure if the Tokico springs are linear or progressive, looked at one of the rears the other day and it looked progressive.

Doesn't the stock rear sway bar work with this system? If so - just put that back on!

Hey man, I see you have Eibachs w/Tokico blues. How is your ride?

I'm trying not to lose too much ground with handling. Yes I could put the stock sway bar back on, but I doubt that would help the bouncing (might be better described as pitching). Plus with the much stiffer front sway I'd be in terminal understeer (ain't no way I'm changing out that thing!). Especially since I have the bushing relocation kit on. I have talked to a local guy who has Eibachs on his car, he says no bouncing but I would have to ride with him myself to see. I also am not sure if he has aftermarket struts (he bought the car modded used). Guess I'll just have to try and check some other options out myself.

It really improved handling with little/no sacrifice in 'ride' like you describe.

I really think it is the sway bars...

You could be right. I have a set of Racing Beat MP3 springs coming, they should be less of a drop than the Tokicos. I'll try them first and see what happens.

Finally got the Racing Beat springs installed. I only drove a short distance and didn't push much due to an unusual noise coming from the left rear (checked it out later and didn't find anything loose), but the RB springs took care of my bounciness. The car also seems to handle better, for lack of a better term it seemed more nervous with the Tokico springs on. Not that it was unstable, just that the RB springs feel better. Might be the difference between linear (RB) and progressively (Tokico) wound springs. Gf is happy so that's the main thing.

How much did the RB's drop the car?

You sir are either single or foolish. Don't you know who controls all the joy that we men want in our lives (this is a family forum so I hope you understand what I am saying)?! In any event I like how it rides and handles better now myself.

As for the drop, I haven't measured it but it sits slightly higher than it did with the Tokico springs. They dropped it approximately 1-1.25". I believe I remember reading the Racing Beats drop the car 0.75".

Chiefmg are you running the stock 16" wheels on your car? I'm really interested in the HP/RB suspension but curious how the stance of your car looks. I'm not looking for a total lowered look but more interested in the performance aspect, just bit of lower stance would be nice. Any pics?

Yes, I have the stock 16" rims. I don't yet have any pics with the Racing Beat springs, I'll see if I can get some in the next couple of days. I will say that they are less than the Tokico springs were, based upon what I have read (and seen for myself), the RBs give about 3/4" drop while the Tokicos gave about 1". Neither set of springs are too radical.

Cool that would be great to see. I've read a few threads and that combination is suppose to be awesome, you would think the entire Tokico kit would be best but goes to show you.

No, I didn't forget this. I have been very busy getting stuff done before I go back to work.

First picture is of the car with the complete Tokico kit (springs/struts). Second picture is of the car with Tokico struts and Racing Beat speings. Hope these help you with your decision.
