Brake light on - post front brake service
Hi everyone:
I replaced the front disk pads on my 2000 Protege ES (1.6L, non-ABS). The job got a bit more involved than I initially bargained for, and I ended up replacing the front passenger-side piston. I didn't touch the rear drums.
I bled the system, topped off the brake fluid and enjoyed two days of braking bliss.
Today, my brake light came on. The brake fluid level is fine, there is no sponginess in the brake pedal, and braking performance remains great.
Any ideas why the light came on within a couple of days of my working on the brakes? (I figure the two have to be related.)
Thanks in advance.
