Brakes Pulsing and Clicking...What to Do?
So when I come to a stop under light braking I feel a pulsing and can hear a distinct click..click..click as I come to a stop. The Rotors look fine, but I could be wrong. The dealer machined them about 20K miles ago, and I don't want to take it back to them. I had the car in for some other crap less than 5K miles ago and they told me I had over 50% of my pad life left.
What could be the problem?

I do not have ABS.
I believe it to be Rotor Runout. I have checked the pads and they are fine. The rotors are also smooth to the touch, I just think they are not uniforme in thinkness anymore.
Does anyone know where to get some good (regular, not cross drilled or vented) rotors and some composite or organic pads for a 2002 LX 2.0?

www.nopionline.com carries them...they are Brembo OEM replacement...like $21 a rotor...not too bad!!!

I just called.
The $21 you were talking about are for the 2001 LX which has smaller Rotors than the 2002+ LX 2.0's have.
I can't find anything that is not cross-drilled or slotted for an 2002 LX. All I can find are Power Slots and Greenstuff. All about 90 -115 a piece for the rotors.

Similar problem
Hey silver,
I just bought a 2001 LX 2.0 and am noticing similar pulsing when stopping the vehicle. I am noticing that the entire car is pulsating not the brake pedal, is this your symptoms as well? I dont hear a clicking noise and it seems to be happening with light pressure. Did changing the rotors solve the problem?
thanks

i think the ceramic pads are the best in my prefrence i have them on my car but i dont have nice rims but when you do the pads dont leave tons of brake dust like other pads so they dont get all black but there like 30 bucks at discount auto if you have one of those around you and they last me a pretty long time ive bought them for all my cars and i put a pair on my girls eclipse so yeah in my opinon go with ceramic brake pads......

I'm too late to throw in my plea for him to purchase the brembo rotors I'm doing a GB on now. They are 4 for $200 shipped and they can be anyway you prefer (slotted, drilled, both, none). Looks like you're taken care of though. Good to hear.
