brakes squeel

I went and they checked the brakes and they are fine. I made them take it for a test drive till it started squeaking and they said it was a wheel bearing. They replaced the front drivers side bearing.....hahahahaha. Idiots. I went on my merry way thinking it was fixed. Well today I was driving to go pick up my boyfriend and low and behold..............The f***ing squeak!!!!!!!!!!!! For one, the noise was comming from the friggen back of the car and it sounds like its comming from the passengers side?! I am going back tomorrow and they better get it right! They said it was a defective wheel bearing. Sooooo what, are all of my wheel bearings defective then cause they are still screaming!!! Sorry, I've just had it with this god aweful noise!!! I didn't pay for anything since it's still under warranty for a year and a half. I only have 46,600kms.

Let them keep throwing parts at it until they get it right, thats just a bunch of free parts you're getting! It's not your fault they don't want to listen to you and Mazda's "tip". I'd say if they don't get it right next time though, make them give you a loaner car, that's a standard feature of the 03-up Mazda warranty, but you shouldn't be inconvenienced anymore due to their ignorance.

Mines a 2002 though. Well I went and they figured it out. It is the shim kit for the brake pads. What sucks is that when I got the back brakes done I got a friend who is a mechainic to do them for free. So now Mazda is saying since I didn't get the brakes done through Mazda that I have to pay for the parts and the labour. Crappy. It's only like 30$ for the kit but I'm gonna get my friend to put them on. Screw Mazda....lol. So It is the back brakes and not the wheel bearings, although I did have a bad bearing which they caught, so it wasn't an all bad experience......Now I have to wait for the parts which is probably gonna take almost two weeks!!!!!! Hafta put up with the god aweful noise till then. Unfortunately.

Here's an update on my situation:
Turns out ~40k ago when I changed pads, I only changed my front pads. The back is very different and I would've remembered moving the e-brake cable and using the adjustment screw. I used BKYT-26-43ZB as mentioned in the TSB. The stealership charged me $78. I went ahead and paid that because I wanted to do the install the next morning. The best online price I found was $58. Cost is $45.
The squeal was not from the wear indicator. . . there is no wear indicator. The squeal was from the inner pad being completely worn away and the backing plate rubbing the rotor. There was plenty of material on the outer pad, but the inner pad was almost completely wasted away.
I've had the new pads on for about a week and noticed a big difference. The car picks up speed a lot better and doesn't decellerate as rapidly when I'm coasting. Before the swap, the gas light would come on at about 340 miles. I hit 340 last night and had just under a 1/4 tank left. Before the swap we were getting around 25mpg. The last tank we got 27.5mpg. I performed the swap when the tank was about 5/8 full. I'm guessing this next tank will be around 28mpg.
My wife is pretty pissed though. Mainly because we took it in the first year and complained about the gas mileage and how it feels like it was dragging. They couldn't find anything wrong. We put almost 100k miles on the car. . . loosing 3mpg. That's about 430 gallons of gas wasted!!!
