do you NOW have the "clunk" in your trunk
#16
It is possible that thicker sway bar in MP3 "gives less" and puts extra stress on bar to subframe bushings. After while bar starts sliding left-right and clunk is made by enlinks, which can move in those "ball mounts"-I am not sure how they are called.
I did not have clunk with stock bar and i did not have clunk with AWR bar before i greased bushings cuz it was squeaking.
After greasing bushings bar was vitrually sliding inside bushings and endlinks kept shifting on those "ball mounts"-without any consistency, sometimes on left, right turns or just over speedbumps.
I put thick rubber strips around sway bar on the outside of mounting brakets and tightened them with hose clamps-same kind as on intake. Clunk went away.
If my explanation is fuzzy-do something to prevent bar movement from left to right.
And no, I am not getting under my salt and dirt covered car in this weather to take pictures

Sir Nuke,
I have all the parts sitting in my room right now. Struts, endlinks, sways, bushing, rear x-member...the works. I'll let you know as soon as I get it on the car...That'll happen as soon as I dig outta this 16 inches of snow.
obender66
Or anyone with a MP3 for that matter...My sways (which are not mounted yet) have little bushings w/metal clamps holding them tightly in place already on them...looks like they will sit slightly inside or outside of the bushings when the sways are installed...Does anyone else have these on theirs or do you think that these little bushings are the "fix"?
It sounds like what obender66 did except it was already done from the factory I guess...lemme know.

Yeah, I am talking about those things. AWR bar didn't have(or got lost in mail)those retainers so I had to improvise.
So may be these retainers should be reinforced? I have no idea how MP3 bar looks like....and don't remember whether I had them on stock bar...
