Maybe it's time for some new brake pads??

It's impossible to answer this question without more information. There are a number of reasons why brakes squeal. Has any work been done to them, when does it happen, etc.

I just posted a reply to this question in another section. But here it goes again.

If the pads aren't worn and the wear indicators aren't doing their thing, the squeak is most likely the result of poorly seated pads. Put some foil exhaust tape on the back of each pad to seat it to the caliper and dampen the vibration that causes the squeak. It may seem hair brained, but it is a tried and true fix. Copper Coat RTV will do the job as well, but the tape lasts longer. Cost <$2.

While doing so be sure to inspect everything while you're into it, and only use one layer of tape at the pressure points and neatly trim the edges.

Another easy fix is to get a can of the brake anti-squeal coating. You spray it on the BACKS ONLY of the pads, and it will dry to a film similar to battery terminal coating. We use it on all the BMW brakes.
