intrax springs?

does anyone actually have these on their car? intrax has been jerking me around for like 4 months now. they said they had them, then sent me some for the p5. i have yet to receive the springs i ordered in november. (these are coming straight from intrax, through my local shop.) i think they haven't made them and are just trying to get orders. looks like i am going to cancel this order and go with h and r.

I've seen people with the springs for the Protege5 (which is the same as your sedan...except the 5 has a heaver rear). So, you can use the same springs as the Protege5. I've also heard Intrax has a problem with sagging after about a year. I havent installed them or seen this personally so Im not stating fact. Just heard that from a few people in regards to installing them on different types of cars...it may have never been a problem on the Proteges. But I would personally (and will be in a few weeks) go wiith Eibach. Or the H&R's are good. But, I believe the Intrax lower the car more than the Eibachs or H&R. I sell the Eibachs for 240.00 shipped in the US.

eibachs are good. i don't really know what i am going for yet. no the intrax's for the p5 DO NOT work on the sedan. i tried, so no one else has to make that mistake. the front looks really good, but the back goes up about an inch. (heavier rear) i guess they aren't gonna happen, so ill see about the eibachs or h and r.

No Sportline kit last I heard. It would be nice. I'll double check that.

BG springs has an application for you car that should lower it pretty good, the third gen protege's take to lowering springs pretty well , I don't know if they have a different shock desighn or if it is the body panels , but they do lower pretty well , depending on spring ,. also look into sprint springs... they will lower you car pretty good
I really would not mess wit coil overs as you have herd me bitc@ing about them .. in rough road,...

lowering springs for a Gen 2?

I was about 10 minutes away from ordering some intrax lowering springs for my Gen 2 pro. Just as I was about to leave to go order them, i read a post saying that intrax springs have a tendancy to sag after a little while. Is this true? If it is true, what other sprigs could I get to lower my Gen 2 between 1.5-2 inches without such crappy results?

wow, got the intrax's on after about 4 hours of work, but they look damn good. ride is nice too. back tucks right to the fender. front sits about .5 inch off the tire. definately a much meaner stance. we put mine next to leon's (phyba_optikz) last nigth on the road and there is a much more aggressive stance now, with no rubbing problems on 17's. definately worth it if you are going to get some.

now i have a week to recouperate before we put leon's on...

Well I can't speak for them personally, but my friend has had a set for about 2 years. His car started off at 1.75" lower...after 2 years he's pushing almost 3"...

I have also heard that they never complete settling. Getting lower and lower and lower...
