JIC FLT-A2's availabe. BEST FRIKIN' SUspension made for Protege

Guys they are available and we did test it out. Just amazing. I'll let the owner give his input later. I'm putting mine on this week.

Hefty price of $1850.00 minus your club deal, but still so worth it. Do this over any power mods you'd want. It's not about speed, it's about driver and handling. At least my preferences.

Rishie

I'll post pics too.

We're putting mine on right now. OMG, I can't wait. I'll post reviews afterwards. I've been in all the suspension setups on this including my Mazdaspeed adj and HR springs. From first test in djhyper's car I could already tell that the JIC's were more comfortable and waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better handling.

Here's a pic of the type of suspension it is. notice the perch below the spring and the perch above the shock bracket. The lower one, above the shock bracket, is the one you move upward, then spin the bracket upward towards the spring. This is how you shorten the overall distance without sacrificing suspension travel or ride quality. Also notice the inverted design of the strut, where's the bumpstop. This allows better load handling as well as allows all dampening adjustments to be made at the bottom of the strut. No need to pop the hood or take the trunk apart.

These are 15 way Adjustable, monotube dampers, aircraft aluminum bodies and brackets that are fully anodized. They also include pillowball mounts front and rear with camber adjustment in the front. The rear shock bracket has a slotted hole to allow for more negative camber in the rear as well. Very nicely done. They are rebuildable and can be customized later to full race spec if you so desire in the future. They are the ****.

HOLY Mother of GOD. I went around the block a couple times. Just wanted to keep going. It's like an oval track., hehe. Even took Ron for a ride. I'm sure he'll post. He got my Mazdaspeeds and HR's.

Just absolutely amazing. I can't speak enough. And my alignment is jacked up I'm sure. CAn't wait to get this thing corner weighted. Can you imagine a 50/50 weight distribution in the P5. Se lavi to the exaggerated understeer.

Next stop, MP3 sway bars. Oh man. I got a new car all over again. I really don't care about power anymore. The Turbo kit would be nice but just asking for warranty problems. It's all about handling now. Gonna see if Roger Foo wants to take this for a drive and give me some feedback. I know he'll immensly approve. He'll probably **** his pants considering this is so well handling and amazingly comfortable. I mean amazing comfort.

Start saving guys. I'll put together a promotional offer on these but will wait to see who is actually ready.

Thanks, Rishie

Corkscrew, hehe. yeah, corkscrew. Very soon my dear friend.

How do these compare to Tein's?

I think the Teins will be a bit cheaper but are not available yet other than the prototype's

They are two totally different levels of suspension. The JIC FLT-A2 is a mono tube damper whereas the tein will be a twin tube. Also the FLT-A2 is gas charged, whereas Tein is oil.

THe JIC's are repairable and rebuildable in the US and customizable as well, with regards to damping and spring rates.

The Tein most likely will sacrifice suspension travel when lowered and will most likely require the use of helper springs.

The TEin suspension that compares to these JIC's are the R series. which list out around $2300.00. Not their entry level stuff. So it's kinda like comparing apples to oranges.

LAters, Rishie
