Need You Help, Advice, Input... 2" Drop Springs
Good day everyone,
I am looking for lowering springs to put on my 03 ES-GT, I want the best springs ever wich means to me, soft riding, 1.5 to 2.0 inches drop, good looking, quality product, and please, no bouncing....
What would be the cleanest drop ? 1, 1.5, 2" ?
I heard that Progress Technology make some for 03 ES (Part Number 40.1122), now I'd like to know what you all think about their product if you bought some or specs about same category springs from other brands.

IMO the top three companies to go with for the pro or p5 would be eibach, H&R or TEIN.
Eibach has the least amount of drop, on the p5 is it 1.4 in the front and 1.2 in the back.
H&R are similar with a slightly different spring rate and a slightly more aggressive drop distance. Tein springs are also great and have the most drop out of the three I believe going about a half inch or more past the eibach lengths.
As for how much you should drop it, depends on the application, if it just for show go as low as you want. For performance I think the eibachs are best as you dont want to go too low if you will be using it for every day driving also (for speed bumps, driveways,bumpy roads...) You can lower the car too much so it is going past performance enhancing and can actually be detrimental to the performance as well as the wellness of the other parts that might scrape from a severe drop.
Also the eibach and TEIN springs are on ebay alot for 150-175 shipped. I got my eibach pro-kit for 160 shipped for example. Eibach also offers a sportline kit for a 2" drop if thats what you really want, and there are always the slightly cheaper dropzone springs for under a hundred which drop the car 2" I think.

I went with the progress springs and let me just tell you they are the best thing I have done to my car. After the installation the drop was about a 1.6" drop.. Im sure it has settled some since then but I havent been out there to measure it. (Just installed them on Sunday).
The car hugs corners like you would not believe. There is almost no roll. And there is no harsh bouncing, the ride is very controlled and it feels as if the car is stuck to the road.

oh and ps they have a lifetime warranty- all you have to do is fill in the registry for them and you got a lifetime warranty!

Its not that you have to have new shocks because of the lowered spring. Its moreso for the fact that you have a more progress spring rate, so it is harder on the dampners to do their job. So after prolonged use of the stock shocks on aftermarket, stiffer springs, the shocks give out...
