it's possible for his wheels to still be aligned after the drop but the dude who told you the 2" number, that's garbage. The wheels alignment changes after any suspension work. I would look at things that may be amplified by a stiffer suspension like getting your tires rebalanced. You may need to upgrade some other parts to your suspension if it can't keep up with the drop (although i don't see why since pro's have fantastic suspension) like sway bars or tie rods.
You could also look into strut bars. Or this could just be the dreaded understeer monster coming to get you.

well I would have waited a week or so to have it checked....given the springs a chance to settle a little....as stated before...the 2" number is BS...
anytime you change or move your suspension from its RESTING point...the geometry changes some and that changes the actual alignment....
its possible that your car was aligned on the HIGH side of the allowable limit when it came to the factory...and when you lowered your car the numbers moved into/closer IN tollerance....could be. I would say you were the lucky one if they did.
I personally took my car to a TUNER friendly Mazda dealer....they did in fact have to adjust my car to get it more perfectly aligned. The dealer cost of an alignment is $79.
Just do yourself a big favor....keep an eye on the inside and outside edges of your tires....if they start to show odd wear....take the car to a dealer and have them check it.

well, i got it check at least 2 weeks after installing the springs, so yea, i donno about that
but another thing i noticed today, i was hittin a U turn pretty fast, i wasn't accelerating and i understeered like crazy ( i ended up in the 3rd lane over) and the tires were vibrating like crazy (they broke loose and were sliding sideways anyways, i think my tires suck and i need to tone down the hard steering a little
