Options for struts (2002 Prot5)
I've got a 2002 Protege 5 and I'm looking at replacing the front struts. I've called around to local shops and looked online but no-one seems to carry replacements for these. I talked to someone at www.autopartswarehouse.com and they mentioned that the KYB 333350 and 333351 would fit. Can anyone verify this? What other options do I have? I'm looking at a straight replacement (not upgrade), cost is a factor but I don't want to sacrifice the comfort/handling that came stock.

I'd suggest OEM replacement if you don't want anything to change.
I think you'll find for the money that the upgraded tokico blues or whites can't be beat. They are a great performance gain and a set of tokico blues will set you back about $300/4 which is probably less than OEM and of a higher quality than some stupid KYB or sensatracs from Sears.

No worries, they'll swap right in just like stock. You're looking for Tokico HP shocks if interested, part # HB2223 & HB2224 (front), HB2225 & HB2226 (rear). Remeber, eBay is your friend ... Good luck!
