putting springs on shocks

the only special thing would be to remeber how you did it all, because on stock shocks, because you'll be doing it again in 6 months when you blowout those stockers...otherwise it is a pretty straight forward install

I've never done the install myself, but from what I've read online it's a pretty safe investment to get a spring compressor. You can rent them for free from Advance Auto and such after you pay for deposit (which you get refunded when you return it) so it doesn't really cost you anything extra and can potentially save you a lot of time and injuries. I think I saw somewhere that the spring can shoot back and nail you in the face if not done with a compressor so I guess it's a good thing to keep in mind. Anyone else have any input on this?
