Question about springs

I've searched, and I'm fairly sure that I'm correct here, but I want to double check.

Aside from (I assume) a higher spring rate for the rear of the P5, springs for any 3rd gen models will fit any other 3rd gen model, right?

all the suspension pieces from all the 3rd gen Proteges are interchangable....it may take a few extra pieces when doing some sways....say sway bars....but the answer to your question is YES...

if you got springs for your P5, they are the same springs that you would use for any other 3rd gen Protege. (LX, DX, ES, MP3, ETC)

The springs have the same stiffness, but the LENGTHS are not exactly the same (check the FAQ). Mixing and matching different springs from different cars may do strange things to your ride height.

TheMAN sent me this email a while back:

"P5 sunroof cars have different rear springs
P5 uses the same rear springs as the 4 disc ES
4 disc ES uses same rear springs regardless of sunroof or ABS
1.6 cars uses same rear springs as 1.6 with sunroof and ABS and auto tranny
2 disc 2.0 cars uses same rear springs as 1.6 with sunroof
1.6 auto tranny cars uses same front springs as ES manual tranny and P5
2.0 auto tranny cars uses different front springs"

And this applies to 2001+ models, not the 99-00 1.8L. Confused yet?
