Rear dust shield
#3
Removing the dust shield will cause problems when braking in the rain. If the rotors are soaking wet, it will take the brake pads a second or so to wipe the water off the rotor and begin to work. If you ever drive in the mud, prepare for your brakes not to work at all for several seconds when you hit the pedal.
IMHO this is a bad idea for a street car. The increase in cooling performance will be almost impossible to notice on the street, but it will make the car dangerous in the rain. If you are going road racing, go for it, but if you're not, don't worry about it.
BTW where in Texas do you live?
