Skunk2 coilovers

I just found out that skunk2 came out with some coilovers for the Protege5 a few weeks ago and are less expensive than the ground controls. $340 shipped to my door from Options Auto Salon in Cali. http://www.optauto.com/webstore/prod...1770&variation. Since Skunk2 mainly made products for Hondas, I wanted to know if anyone has had some experience with these coilovers or knows someone with Skunk2 coilovers. I had a '94 civic coupe ex once upon a time, but I was using Neuspeed (H&R) progressive springs.

Skunk2 is right around the corner from me too. I've known about the coilovers for several months and have been waiting for them to call me and inform me of their release. It's funny how the consumers are always quicker to the punch.

Anyways, I had no idea they were so expensive. I thought they'd be like $225 or $250. I would spend the extra fifty dollars and get the proven quality and versatility of the Eibach Racing Spring. That's a wack price. I'd go GC's all the way.

See ya, Rishie

Get 'em from Mitch at P5online. I carry the line too, but his price is just as good.

I saw the Skunk2 coil overs in the new catalog as well as a cat back exhaust for the Pro5. I talked to them a few months ago & they where very eager to get parts for the Proteges. They wanted me to bring my car in for tests but since they are on the West coast & Im on the East coast, that wasnt really doable. I dont know if I would really worry about the coil overs. The exhaust may be decent but I havent heard anything or seen it yet. With Coil overs, Im with everyone else, get the Ground Controls. Dont trade quality for price. I can get the Skunk2 coil overs but I would go with the GC's. Thanks for the plug Rishie!

Is all this first hand experience or just hearsay. Thought skunk2 was a reputable company. At least Roger Foo finally scored a win in his skunk2 civic.

Roger Foo runs on an H&R and Bilstein coilover combo. Yeah that was a sweet win. He had like 175 yards of track distance on the BMW in 2nd place... All that on a B16A? Damn. Guy sure knows his ****.
