sprint springs on the 3rd gen
well, it looks like the sprints have been released. since intrax is screwing me, im looking at these, but i am a little concerned about the 2" total drop. seems a little much. the look would be badass, but i am worried about scrubbing with passengers and 17 inch wheels. anyone had any experience with these?
i will be purchasing the camber kit also,

I don't have any experience with Sprint springs, so I don't know about their quality. The stock struts will wear out more quickly due to stiffer springs, not the amount of lowering, as long as you keep enough of a bumpstop to prevent the strut from bottom out internally. A 2" drop in the front of the Protege is going to have you spending a decent amount of time on the bump stops, unless you live somewhere with exceptionally smooth roads. That will hurt ride AND handling. It probably will look good, but you should give some thought to what's most important to you.

well, here's a reply
this is the reply i got from sprint yesterday if anyone wanted to know. i asked about clearance with 17" wheels.Thank you for the inquiry. Unfortunately, our 2000 Protégé part #7505 springs have not yet been released. We are expecting them in before summer.
Our camber kits part# 81250 F/R will adjust 1.75 degrees front and rear. One kit is needed for front and one kit for rear.
Depending on what size wheel and tire package along with the offset, you should be fine. Our springs are designed to be used with your OEM equipment but upgrading to a plus two fitment should have no clearance problems.
Give us a call if you have any further questions.

If you use 17x7" wheels and 205/40R17 tires you shouldn't have problems with the tires rubbing even with the car lowered. You need 38mm to 45mm offset for the 3rd gen sedan, and 42mm to 48mm offset for the P5. Right Rishie?

Hey I have sprint spings on my civic and they good for the most part and for the price...my protege has cut spings because my sprint springs were on order since x-mas and now I think im going to get coil overs because I love the 3" drop I have right now with the cut springs I will take a pic up close so you can see that I have no wheel gap......

----Sprint springs are ok , they do tend to have a stiffer spring rate though ,, my dad had them on his jetta, and they were ok , only problem is that all of them were not cut equal so one side was a little higher than the other ,,, that car now has a full coil over set up on it .... ----

----this is totall BS ,, you don't need this ,, they are wasting dollars here ...... ------

------you should not have problems,, I have had a few guys that I have met at car shows and he was telling me that he had a problem with the back rubbing on his protege 5 .... and he had 18's both times I saw him
