Hello all,

Picked up a 2002 P5 a week or so ago. I was cleaning it up this past weekend and I noticed a red strut tower brace that I hadn't picked up on before. Do they come with tower braces? This doesn't look stock to me, so it got me thinking that if there is one mod, there could possibly already be more. There is no CAI on there, and the exhaust is all stock, but how can I tell if the shocks/springs are stock? What is supposed to be on there from the factory?

 

FYI your red strut tower brace is 'stock'

 

Ditto. All Protege5 strut tower bars are red, no matter what the body color. The MP3s came with yellow, and the Mazdaspeed Protege comes with silver if you want to change it out

 

w3rd. i did the 'swap' with a fellow mp3 owner because he wanted red and i wanted yellow
