alright, everyone calm down. Yes, i had a few doubts when i put it on but have had no problems with it, so I would recommend it. But I have seen goldpro's as well and see no problem with it. I am sure that the difference between ours and golds isn't too much in performance, b/c to tell you the truth it doesn't do all that much that you would notice the difference between the two, especially with the mods both of you have, mainly lowering it. So everyone chill the f$#@ out, and remember, to each his own...

Others have told me to go to the Mazda dealership also, but Im a bit weary of doing that. I hear they try to rip you off with their prices. I suppose though Im going to end up going there because I have to ask about the clear light bar for the 3rd brake light on the MP3 spoiler and some of the stock black grilles from the MP3. I don't want to add the silver mesh if im going to have the Sport20 grille from Corksport. Does anyone have an idea as what to expect price-wise for the Protege5 red strut bar from the dealership?

Here's my final word on this...You can install the MSP Strutbar on a 99-00 DX/LX Pro...it does require a few washers UNDER the mounts to space it off of the intake manifold so it doesnt rub. Aesthetically it looks fine, you cant see the washers, as they are underneath the brackets...Also you can't beat OEM quality and this is the only one i've seen that is solid and not hinged on bolts, with does allow some flex....I highly recommend it to anyone
