Question Suspension Mods for 02 Pro LX?

I have a 2002 Pro LX. Hit the autox for the first time last month. Ok, I'm hooked. Now I'm ready for suspension mods. I want to start with a rear sway bar. From reading all these messages, it sounds like I should have bought an ES or a P5. Can I do anything to my LX without, say, snapping the endlinks off the factory struts? Can I reinforce them? Who makes a sway bar for my application? Doesn't sound like the MP3 will fit properly. Any help would be appreciated.

You could get some new MazdaSpeed struts with your rear swaybar to solve the snapping off the endlink problem. I don't think it's going to happen though. Might as well get some lowering springs to go with the new struts while you're at it.

As far as I know, the ES has the same suspension as the LX so you didnt miss out. The P5 has the strut tower bar more but is also heavier.

What you could do, is get the rear sway bar and just go to a machine shop and have your current end-links reinforced. Im not too knowledgeable on stuff like that, but if you go to Racing Beat's website you will see it is mentionned as an option.(they designed the suspension for the MP3)
