Sway Bar Help

I have the opportunity to get a Racing Beat rear sway bar from a friend. If I'm not mistaken, its a 20mm bar. My stock ES came with 16mm bars. My question is, if I put the rear RB bar on, will I be encountering bad things, such as snap-oversteer? Also, is there anything I can do to correct any adverse side effects cheaply? I was thinking of also purchasing a front tower strut bar. Thanks ya'll

I agree. When I put the AWR 21.5mm one on my P5, nothing but good things happened.
If anything, in a P5 at least, it'll take care of most of the dreaded understeer.

If you haven't swapped out your endlinks yet, now's the time

They'll work, but you may clunk a little bit when going into parking lots, etc. The OEM ones from a normal Protege are a little too long for the RB springs. MSP ones fit perfectly.

If you plan on installing the sways yourself, you'll see what I'm taling about.

Gotcha, I do plan on doing it myself... maybe Ken @ P-garage can hook me up with some freebies since I've given him so much money in the last couple of months... maybe look for some off a wrecked one or whatnot too... Keep ur eyes open for me boys, and thanks for the help!

Im trying to get the nerve up to do this install myself as well. I have the new endlinks and the MSP swaybar set with new rear crossmember. If the install is going well, Id like to possibly switch out my struts and springs (Tokico HPs and Eibach Pro-kit). How difficult is the install of the swaybars? I have a couple of GT-Spec pieces I might want to put on while Im under the car.

the front strut tower bar will be a good investment. I put one on a couple of months ago and it made a huge difference. Got rid of a lot of body role when cornering hard and while coming out of off ramps.
